Vintage early-’90s crewneck for the Grand Ole Opry, Nashville’s historic country music show broadcast on WSM 650 AM radio since 1925. The front has a large circular screen-printed logo: yellow “Grand Ole Opry” lettering on a teal ring, with the silhouette of a musician with a guitar in front of the classic red WSM 650 microphone in the center, and red and yellow “WSM” lettering below, flanked by “Since 1925”.
Made on a Jerzees blank made in the USA. The body has thin heather gray and white stripes, with contrasting gray ribbing at the collar, cuffs and hem, set-in sleeves and a brushed interior. Original period Jerzees Made in USA tag. There is a small mark on the front near the hem, visible in the photos.
A piece of musical Americana with a period radio graphic, interesting for collectors of country music and Nashville memorabilia. The striped body sets it apart from the usual solid-color souvenir sweatshirts.
