Vintage 1990s Barbour Beaufort waxed cotton jacket. Originally introduced in 1983 for hunting and outdoor use, the Beaufort has become a symbol of British countryside style thanks to its durable waxed cotton construction and highly functional design.
This piece is crafted from a mustard yellow waxed cotton, a less common variation than the classic olive green models. The jacket features the signature brown corduroy collar, brass snaps, and the classic Barbour zip with a loop pull. The interior is finished with the traditional Barbour tartan cotton lining.
The Beaufort’s practical field design includes large front bellows pockets, handwarmer pockets, underarm ventilation eyelets and a distinctive rear game pocket accessed via the large side-zipped back pocket, originally designed for hunting.
The Barbour Beaufort internal label with three badges and the words “Made in England” firmly places this jacket in the 1990s, before Barbour moved much of its production out of the UK.
