Vintage M58 combat parka of the Koninklijke Landmacht, the Royal Netherlands Army, dating to 1967. The original neck label carries the military mark “K.L.”, the typical Dutch size numbering and a contract/date code ending in “67”. The construction and proportions match original Dutch Army M58 parkas.
Made as cold-weather military field wear, with an olive green cotton shell, a concealed button front, epaulets, large diagonal chest pockets, flap lower pockets, adjustable cuffs, a gathered waist and an elastic/drawcord hem. Inside is the removable wool liner, attached with buttons, an especially interesting detail consistent with the early “woolly” liners made for the M58 parka. A great European Cold War piece, still very strong today as a military, workwear and heritage jacket.
