STORY TIME
Between the ’80s and ’90s, Niagara Falls went from natural wonder to a powerful symbol of peaceful cross-border partnership between Canada and the United States. Through shared governance, environmental collaboration, growing tourism and cultural exchange, the falls became a showcase of what binational cooperation could look like in everyday life. Meanwhile, tourism was booming: by the mid-’90s more than 12 million visitors a year were coming to the falls. With minimal border restrictions at the time, tourists crossed the Rainbow and Peace bridges freely, creating a fluid, shared economic zone.
The opening of Casino Niagara in 1996 blurred national lines even further: two thirds of its visitors were American, and its economic impact was felt on both sides of the border. Cultural events reinforced this unity: the Friendship Festival (1987–2019) deliberately linked Canada Day with the 4th of July, while the revived International Marathon had runners cross the national border in the middle of the race. Even the nightly illumination of the falls was a joint effort, coordinated by a binational board.
In those years, Niagara Falls wasn’t just a tourist destination: it was a living model of international friendship, where cooperation wasn’t merely possible, but essential. Through shared treaties, joint events and a deeply interconnected economy, the falls reminded the world that borders don’t have to divide: they can unite.

Orders are processed within 1-3 business days and entrusted to the most suitable courier based on the destination and type of package.
Shipping is free for orders over €100 in Italy and EU countries (zones 1-2) , while in other cases the costs are calculated automatically at checkout.
The right of withdrawal can be exercised within 14 days of delivery . Items must be returned in the same condition in which they were received and as described in the listing.
