Vintage crewneck sweatshirt from the early 1990s of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity, founded in 1848 at Miami University in Ohio. On the chest are the three Greek letters ΦΔΘ applied in light blue twill on a navy blue base, sewn with a zigzag stitch along the edges, in the classic style of Greek sweatshirts from American campuses.
Made on a grey mélange Jerzees Super Sweats blank in a cotton and polyester blend, produced in the United States, with set-in sleeves, ribbed collar, cuffs and hem, and a fleeced interior. Original period Jerzees Super Sweats Made in USA label. There are some small light stains on the upper chest, near the shoulder, visible in the photos.
An authentic piece of American collegiate wear, different from the usual college sweatshirts with the university name: the hand-sewn letters give the garment a more artisanal character compared to classic screen printing.
