Vintage ringer T-shirt, a Berlin souvenir, likely dating back to the 1980s, approximately 1983–1989. The front features a graphic dedicated to Checkpoint Charlie and divided Berlin, with the western sectors represented by British, American, and French flags, juxtaposed with the Soviet zone, as well as Berlin's bear emblem. The theme is closely linked to tourism in West Berlin during the Cold War, prior to German reunification in 1990.
Heather grey body with contrasting royal blue collar and sleeve trims, typical ringer construction from the late 70s to the 80s. The boxy fit, ribbed edges, and simple construction are further elements consistent with 1980s production.
The neck/wash label is missing. This piece is particularly interesting for collectors of Cold War memorabilia, Berlin, and 20th-century European history.
