Original vintage Warner Bros tee featuring Wile E. Coyote, dating from the late ’80s to the very early ’90s, with the large “Born to Be Wile” biker-themed front graphic. At the bottom of the print you can see “TM & © 1989 Warner Bros. Inc.”, which dates the graphic’s copyright to 1989 with certainty.
The tee is made from black jersey, with the typical boxy construction of American graphic tees made between the late ’80s and the early ’90s. Single stitch construction and a classic ribbed crew neck.
The graphic has a nice natural patina with light surface cracking. These details add to the piece’s authentically vintage character. It shows Wile E. Coyote gripping biker-style handlebars, with the tongue-in-cheek slogan “Born to Be Wile”. The design blends classic Looney Tunes imagery with the biker and novelty graphic look that was everywhere in the late ’80s and early ’90s.
