Vintage late-’80s Bon Jovi tee, with the iconic front graphic of Jon Bon Jovi’s portrait, the famous eagle logo and the band’s stylized signature. Made on a Made in Italy blank, it is one of the European productions of the time, now much sought after by collectors of rock memorabilia and original vintage.

Made from 100% cotton, with a tubular body, a classic ribbed crew neck and a high-quality multicolor screen print that is still bright and well preserved. The back is plain black, which makes the front design stand out even more.

Italian-made music merchandise from the ’80s is far less common than its American counterparts, making this piece especially interesting on the European vintage market.

Story Time

From New Jersey Bars to Stadium Lights

Before the stadiums, he was just a New Jersey kid learning how the music industry really worked: playing with local bands, soaking up the vibe of the Asbury Park scene and spending a lot of time at Power Station Studios thanks to his cousin Tony Bongiovi. That period was crucial because Jon wasn't just trying to become a singer: he was learning how songs, radio, image, recording studios and opportunities were all tightly connected.

The first real breakthrough came with "Runaway," a track recorded when Bon Jovi wasn't yet a real band. Jon managed to get it played on local radio and, as it started catching the public's attention, the classic lineup gradually took shape around him. From then on, Bon Jovi built their success through relentless touring, opening slots and a clearly defined identity: New Jersey roots, big choruses, romantic working-class stories and a visual style that was perfect for small clubs and MTV alike.

By the mid-'80s, the band had figured out which direction it wanted to take. After the uneven experience of 7800° Fahrenheit, it rebuilt its sound with Slippery When Wet, becoming one of the biggest rock phenomena of the decade. New Jersey then proved that success had been no fluke, delivering another string of hits and taking the band to stages all over the world for good.
